Our commitments
- No training use, ever. Your documents are never used to train AI models, ours or a third party's.
- Encryption in transit and at rest. TLS 1.3 for network traffic and AES-256 for stored files.
- Need-to-know access. Your documents are shared only with the licensed translator assigned to your job, and only for that job.
- Every action recorded. Access to your documents is logged.
Certifications
- SOC 2 Type II certified. Independently audited controls for security and confidentiality.
- UAE PDPL. Personal data is handled in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
- GDPR. Where it applies, personal data is processed in line with the EU GDPR.
Who sees your documents
- Licensed translators. Your document goes to a UAE Ministry of Justice licensed sworn translator in our network, who sees only the documents for the job assigned to them.
- Vetted and bound by confidentiality. Every translator is vetted individually and signs a non-disclosure agreement before joining the network.
- Restricted internal access. Mairit staff access to documents is restricted, logged and reviewed regularly.
Keeping and deleting documents
Retention. Your documents and certified translations are retained for the life of the customer relationship plus the retention period required by applicable law (typically 7 years for audit purposes). Detail in our Privacy Policy.
Deletion on request. You can ask us to delete your documents by emailing privacy@mairit.ai. We delete them within the time the law requires, except records we must keep by law.
Operational security
- Access to our systems is restricted, logged and reviewed regularly.
- Staff laptops are encrypted and centrally managed.
- Software used to run the service is monitored for known vulnerabilities, and critical issues are fixed quickly.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability affecting Mairit, email security@mairit.ai and include:
- A clear description of the issue and its possible impact.
- Steps to reproduce it.
- Your name and contact details (optional, but helpful).
We acknowledge reports within 2 business days, share an initial assessment and fix timeline within 10 business days, and keep you updated until it is resolved.
